The first center of the national RECOVERY network, founded by Victor and Olena Pinchuk to assist the Security and Defense Forces, opened in the spring of 2023 in Dnipro. Two years later, the network includes 17 centers that have already helped 24,000 wounded defenders.
The RECOVERY project is an example of an effective partnership between the state and the private sector, when philanthropists create innovative rehabilitation centers on the basis of state medical institutions.
Currently, RECOVERY centers operate in Ukraine in Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk region (three facilities), Kyiv (two facilities), Lutsk, Lviv, Odessa (two facilities), Poltava, Rivne, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi and Chernihiv.
All RECOVERY centers (https://www.instagram.com/recovery.ua) meet global standards of inclusion and are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. Patients undergo rehabilitation according to individual rehabilitation plans developed for them by multidisciplinary teams.
📍 All centers are free of charge for military personnel. A separate area of work of the RECOVERY project is the development of professional education in the field of rehabilitation. Advanced training programs are available both for specialists working in RECOVERY network centers and for rehabilitation teams from other medical institutions. This applies not only to specialists working in RECOVERY network centers, but also to advanced training of rehabilitation teams from other medical institutions.
To date, more than 3,500 doctors have already completed training within the framework of RECOVERY educational programs. In addition to trainings, seminars, and conferences in Ukraine, the Victor and Olena Pinchuk project also provides international internships for Ukrainian specialists - in Austria, the USA, Latvia, and Norway.
