During 2024, pharmacy chains continued their active development, opening 977 new pharmacies, which is 43% of all new retail outlets in the country.

Thus, as of May 2025, it can be assumed that the number of pharmacies in Ukraine is about 18,000 or slightly more, given the continued growth of the industry.

The largest pharmacy chains in Ukraine are:

• “Podorozhnyk” – about 2,823 pharmacies

• “9-1-1” – about 1,813 pharmacies

• ANTs – about 1,429 pharmacies

• “Sirius-95” – about 1,242 pharmacies.

• “Pharmastor” – about 1,123 pharmacies.

These chains continue to expand, in particular through the acquisition of other pharmacy companies.

It is also worth noting that about 16,000 pharmacies in Ukraine participate in the state program "Affordable Medicines", providing the population with access to free or partially paid medicines.
