For registration, it is necessary to prepare a CEP and submit an application through the electronic account of the "eKonoply" system.
The electronic system "eKonoply" was launched in Ukraine on March 10. The press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reported this .
According to the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Vitaliy Koval, the new "eKonoply" service will contribute to the development of this industry, because the use of industrial hemp is extremely wide - from light and food industries to pulp and paper.
It is noted that the implementation of this system will ensure the publicity of the industrial hemp market, which will contribute to the growth of the number of enterprises engaged in its sowing, cultivation and processing both in domestic and foreign markets. In addition, it will allow the formation of objective statistical and analytical data.
Legal entities engaged in the sowing, cultivation and processing of hemp for industrial purposes have access to the following modules in the system: registration of business entities in the field of industrial hemp, registration and management of land plots, sowing and harvesting modules, laboratory tests, extracts and reporting, as well as an interactive map.
Also, the activities of legal entities have now been significantly simplified. Previously, obtaining a license for the production of industrial hemp took up to 3 months. According to the order of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of August 16, 2024, it is enough to register in the Register of Legal Entities Engaged in the Sowing, Cultivation and Processing of Hemp, and there is no need to obtain licenses or quotas.
For registration, it is necessary to prepare a CEP and submit an application through the electronic account of the "eKonoply" system.
The eHemp system was reportedly implemented by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine within the framework of the EGAP Program, implemented by the Eastern Europe Foundation with the support of the Swiss government. The European Union project Institutional and Policy Reform of Small-Scale Agriculture in Ukraine (IPRSA) also joined the program.
The register was created on the basis of Diya.Engine, a platform launched by the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
As a reminder, last year the Verkhovna Rada unblocked the signing of bill No. 7457, which legalizes medical cannabis in Ukraine, and it was signed by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
In October, the Cabinet of Ministers made changes to the procedure for electronic recording of the cultivation and movement of cannabis for medical purposes.
