1. Permission from the State Service of Ukraine for Medicines and Drug Control and the Ministry of Health

Since THC is included in the list of psychotropic substances, its import requires a special permit from:

• The State Service of Ukraine for Medicines and Drug Control (State Service of Ukraine)

• The Ministry of Health of Ukraine (MOH)

Required documents:

• An official request from a scientific institution or laboratory justifying the purpose of the study

• An agreement with the manufacturer or supplier of THC distillate

• A certificate of analysis (COA) and documentation on the composition of the substance

• Confirmation that the study complies with the requirements of the legislation

• An application for a license to import controlled substances.

2. Obtaining a license to handle narcotic substances

Even for scientific purposes, a legal entity that will work with THC distillate must have a license to work with narcotic substances. This license is issued by the State Service of Ukraine for Medicines and Drug Control and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine

3. Customs clearance

After obtaining all permits, you will need:

• Customs declaration

• Certificate of conformity

• Supply contract

• Permit from the State Drug Control Service for a specific batch

Alternative options

If you do not have a license to work with drugs, you can cooperate with an institution that has one (for example, scientific institutes or pharmaceutical companies with access to such research).
